Note the double lens holder, and the larger mirror than the 'W' Stand. This microscope has a slot under the glass stage for a black or white sheet metal plate. Another difference from the 'W stand' is the separate swinging tailpiece for the mirror, whereas the mirror mounted directly to the pillar on the 'W' stand. Unlike most other examples with a nickel-plated pillar, this one has a lacquered brass pillar. It was retailed by the Arthur H Thomas Co.
