MODEL: NEW PHYSIOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL MICROSCOPE
compared with AN ALUMINUM VERSION OF THE PORTABLE HISTOLOGICAL MODEL
DATE: early 20th C.

This page shows a comparison of the aluminum version of the Portable Histological Microscope (with four folding legs), and the brass version of the standard table top model known as the 'New Histological and Physiological' Microscope. Note the portable aluminum version has a complete focusing substage. The aluminum version is not in my collection. I am grateful to Paul Stewart for allowing me to use his images of the aluminum version. For more details of the NEW PHYSIOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL model, and its history, please see the main page for the brass model in this collection. For more on the Aluminum Portable Histological
microscope see Allan Wissner's Example on his site.
