disk forcepsThis device allows the user to attach opaque objects to small 'disks' which in turn are mounted on the device which allows manipulation in multiple directions so the object may be studied from various perspectives. This is the earlier version complete with the cylinder to hold the disks; later versions provided flat plates for this purpose. It also includes the special forceps for picking up the disks safely and securely, to place them in the revolver and store them on the cylinder. See the Beck Disk Revolver page about another example on this site for more details on the Beck Disk Revolver and its history.
