The Reichert Stage Condenser, which included a wheel of stops for dark ground work, was designed for use with microscopes without a substage fitting for a condenser. The usual stage clips are removed and the pins of this device are placed in the holes for the stage clips. After centering the condenser in the optical axis, the position of the device is locked in place with the two knurled knobs. It has its own stage clips. It was offered in Reichert catalogs in the 1920s and 1930s.
