stage plate with forcepsstage plate with receptacles The Powell & Lealand stage forceps stores in the accessory case. It fits into either one of the two receptacles on the mechancial stage. These receptacles are to the right or left side of the plate that is located on the plate under the top slide-holding plate. To expose these receptacles, the top slide-holding plate is pushed backward.

As can be seen to the right, the forceps is held at the end of an arm. This, and the other movements provided at the attachment of the forceps to the arm, provide flexibility in positioning.
