DESCRIPTION:
This small student dissecting microscopE, is made of lacquered brass. It arises from a weighted round foot on a single pillar. Focus is by screwing or unscrewing the optical loupe. There is a single sided gimbaled mirror and a glass stage supported by brass. The case is no longer with my example.

Deyrolle Catalog CoverAlthough often attributed to a time period many years earlier, these little student dissecting microscopes, sold by Deyrolle, date to around 1900, being made from the late 19th century into the early 20th century.
