The mechanical stage can rotate. On the underside of the stage is a tension adjustment knob (blue arrow) for this rotation which can also be tightened to fix the rotation in any desired position. Also on the underside of the stage is a three point quick change fitting (red arrows) to allow direct attachment of accessories (such as a separate diaphragm) to the underside of the stage.
