The Huygenian eyepiece slips into the top of the draw tube. The thread on the eyepiece is not used as it simply slips in, and is held in place by a separate eyecap that screws on to the outside of the drawtube. Inside the eyepiece there is a stop in the lower end closer to the lower lens.
