The Powell & Lealand eyepiece cap analyzer stores in the accessory case and has a press-fit dust cap that fits on the bottom. It also has a removeable cap with a thin clear glass window. In use, it replaces the regular eyepiece cap of the objective. The calcite Nicol prism can be rotated by turning the central portion while the outer part remains stationary.
