ORIGINAL CASE:
The Nelson No 1a came in its original dovetailed case with a door of solid construction. The case is constructed of thick pieces of wood. The case is in very sound condition with only minor scattered blemishes to the finish. The back side, shown to the left is intact and firmly attached. The majority of the accessories are stored in four wooden inserts. The left upper one slides out and holds objectives. The right upper one slides out and holds eyepieces. The lower ones are fixed and have varying size holes to accomodate condensers and accessories of other diameters. The little box at the bottom left contains the Beck nosepiece centering attachments.
