DESCRIPTION:

This is the first commercial production model of the McArthur microscope. Note the full size objectives being used. *Supposedly made by McArthur's company, the finish is similar to later known Hearson models and one wonders if Hearson was making microscopes for McArthur without getting any credit in those early years. This might explain the discrepancy in conclusions as to whether Hearson or Watson was first to make commercial McArthur microscopes.
