GRAND VAN HEURCK MICROSCOPE LIVEBOX:

c. 1910

Maker: unknown, possibly Watson

Serial number: none

Livebox This is a livebox, intended to allow observation of living specimens. It consists of a short wide tube or barrel, the top of which is covered with glass. A liquid or solid specimen can be placed here. The cap, with a glass top can then be pushed down over the main part of the slide to contain the specimen, either with no pressure or with some degree of pressure as desired. The degree of pressure applied cannot be varied as precisely as it can be in the modified Rousselet compressor.
